these used the rest of the dough from the orange cinnamon bread. the topping is pecans and sugar and butter and bourbon, cooked together then put in the bottom of an angel food cake pan (so that when it is flipped out it becomes the top). the dough is rolled up with cinnamon sugar, sliced, and baked in the pan.
pretty good. the topping is especially good, but i thought the rolls themselves were a little dense. (i don't know why, because i loved the bread from the same dough. maybe i'd just eaten enough bread??)
Fruit Cake
these are a little cake with a lot of dried pears and cherries, a little dried apricot (because i'm not crazy about it), and pecans.
Danish
we made millions of danish. they were very good-- puffy and crispy, with finely chopped walnuts, raisins, and cinnamon and sugar rolled up in them.
