that means one thousand layers. this has three layers of docked puff pastry that are baked to be flat, filled with creme legere between. the top has powdered sugar with a design burned with hot metal skewers.
Pineapple Bar Tart
i forgot to take this picture until after i cut it in half and shoved it in a ziploc bag. it is puff pastry with a little almond cream and pineapple. it's baked then glazed. there are pistachios around the edge. i really liked this one, but i took it to coleman at work, so i didn't get to eat much.
